Let’s make this simple.
We believe in Jesus Christ crucified. We are nonsectarian, which means we have no denominational preference. Jesus Christ is our doctrine. He is our all in all.
We could use impressive words like inerrant, plenary, infallible, immutable, inspired, and authoritative, but we won’t. We believe the Bible is the word of God. It contains all that we need to know about God, our savior Jesus Christ, and how we should live as faithful heirs to Christ’s kingdom.
We could recite creeds, pull doctrines out of a hat, and insist that our authors adhere to a certain set of standards based on some historic synod, council, or confession. But we won’t do that either. Such language is used to divide, not unite, and the only division we believe in is the division between those who follow Christ and those who don’t. We are among those who follow Christ.
Our only requirement for authors who publish with Crux Publications, besides issues related to manuscript, is to believe in Jesus Christ. Therefore, if you believe
- That Jesus Christ died for your sins (John 3:16)
- And that all other believers in Jesus Christ are your spiritual brothers and sisters because He died for their sins (Mark 3:35, John 1:12-13)
- And that you are called to love them as you love yourself (John 13:34-35, 1 John 4:20)
- Because you love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30)
- And you endeavor to love both your Christian and non-Christian neighbors as you love yourself (Mark 12:31)
then you are free to submit your Christian nonfiction book manuscript to Crux Publications for a careful reading.
